OUR STORY
The organizers of Triptych are students themselves, of Humber’s Arts Administration & Cultural Management postgraduate program. The event is created as their capstone project to address issues they have all experienced at varying levels:
the high cost of materials that arts and design students have to cover to participate in learning how to master those materials in school
the materials a student can afford can affect the overall content and scope of their final graduating projects
how difficult it is to network with other peers in the art and design world from different schools or discipline programs, and reach an audience for their work
the expenses required to menstruate in a safe and healthy way
the increased demand that local nonprofit organizations face as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic

Cause and Mission
The mission of Triptych is two-fold: to support emerging artists and designers, and to increase access to menstrual products for those who need them.
The organizers of Triptych do not want the students’ time, materials, and personal concept work to miss out on the audience they deserve because of it is 'student work'. This event will provide them with a chance to market their artwork to an audience, experience having a client receive their work, and connect with other recent graduates across art disciplines. The artists will know that their artwork will be appreciated by a new owner, and the exchange produces menstrual products to be donated to local nonprofits, supporting the community at large.
